THE REFLECTION OF IDEAS OF THE PURPOSE OF LAUGHTER AS A NON-VERBAL MEANS OF COMMUNICATION IN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE WORLDVIEW

The article investigates the language representation of the reason of laughter as a nonverbal communicative activity. Bazed on association experiment data, the author has revealed associative-verbal criteria of “laughter” concept, projecting ordinary notion of laughter in linguistic consciousness of Russian people. The experiment has proved the importance of laughter in communication, predominance of its subconscious origin. It is stated that the most important cognitive features, appeared in associative fields, containing the purpose of laughter, are the valuation and the ambivalence.
